great voice-over resources out there, that I can only list a few
of my favorites here. So...here goes! For

Voice-Over community on the 'netVO Friends & Colleagues There are many great voice talents out there. I'm privileged to know some of the best! (This is by no means an exhaustive list!) Call me if you're looking for a particular sound and I'm sure that I can steer you to the right person! These are in alphabetical order 'cause I just love them all!!!! André de Nesnera - Yes, my brother! Bilingual VO runs in the family! Terry Daniel - A wonderful voice over artist, producer and very funny guy! Tom Dheere - Another all-around great talent, actor, writer, & producer! Peter Drew - Great talent & a great set of articles on the VO biz! Frank Frederick - "The Voice" - Yep, that covers it! Love this guy! Mike Harrison - A true pro that can make techno-speak make sense! Harlan Hogan - Voice talent, author, producer, coach....he does it all! Peter O'Connell - Great voice talent & marketer extraodinaire! Paul Payton - One of the nicest & most professional talents out there! Erik Sheppard - He's funny, nice, talented & looks great in a leather jacket! Bob Souer - A great talent & VO blogger extraodinaire! Moe Egan - If my voice isn't right for your job, call Moe! She's great! Foreign VO Talent As a voice talent that speaks a foreign language, I realize you may need other languages besides French! Here are some great voice talents who also happen to speak another language. Again, this is not an exhaustive list. Call me if you don't see the language you need listed here. I HIGHLY recommend the following software if you are planning on doing long-form narrations that require separate files: Word2Wav If you are an aspiring Voice talent and are looking for training, here are three websites to check out. I have personally trained with each of these wonderfully talented voice coaches: Lainie Cooke (Click on the "Voiceover" link at the bottom of the page) Joan Baker's Classes James Alburger and Penny Abshire's Classes VO Technical Help These days, if you are a Voice talent you really are the chief cook & bottle washer...or in our case, chief talent, engineer and editor. That means that you'll be using a lot of equipment. If you need help setting that equipment up, or figuring out why what you have isn't working right, get in touch with George Whittam at ElDorado Recording Services. George is the go-to guy for working voice talent. He can help in person if you are in the Los Angeles area, or remotely via email, phone, Skype, and screen sharing so he can control and see your computer. He really knows it all...and his daughter is the cutest! |
